Quick Troubleshooting Checklist

Miner blocked? → Add folder exclusion in Defender.

No GPU detected? → Update OCM + GPU drivers.

Install fails? → Exclude folder or disable antivirus.

GPU not hashing? → Check drivers, usage, run as admin.
Disable Windows Defender From Blocking the Miner
If Windows Defender quarantines VerthashMiner.exe or the One-Click Miner, add an exclusion:

Go to Settings → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection.

Select Manage settings → Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions.

Click Add an exclusion → Folder and point to your OCM folder, for example:
C:\Users<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\vertcoin-ocm

Repeat for VerthashMiner if running manually.

Miner flagged or blocked by antivirus
Issue: Defender or AV flags miner as a virus (false positive).
Solution: Add the install folder to Windows Defender exclusions.

“No Compatible GPUs Detected” Error
Cause: Outdated OCM or drivers, unsupported hardware.
Fix: Update to the latest One-Click Miner and GPU drivers.

“Failure to configure” or “Checks failed”
Cause: Antivirus interference or missing dependencies.
Fix: Exclude the OCM folder in Defender or temporarily disable antivirus during install.

GPU not hashing / usage at 0%
Cause: Miner hanging on CPU, GPU not recognized.
Fix:

Check GPU usage in Task Manager or with nvidia-smi / AMD Adrenalin.

Reinstall GPU drivers and reboot.

Run OCM as Administrator.
