Known Miner Issues

Quick Troubleshooting Checklist

  • Miner blocked? → Add folder exclusion in Defender.

  • No GPU detected? → Update OCM + GPU drivers.

  • Install fails? → Exclude folder or disable antivirus.

  • GPU not hashing? → Check drivers, usage, run as admin.

Disable Windows Defender From Blocking the Miner

If Windows Defender quarantines VerthashMiner.exe or the One-Click Miner, add an exclusion:

  1. Go to Settings → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection.

  2. Select Manage settings → Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions.

  3. Click Add an exclusion → Folder and point to your OCM folder, for example:
    C:\Users<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\vertcoin-ocm

  4. Repeat for VerthashMiner if running manually.
